Mas Café is a locally owned, independent coffee shop located at 332 Main Street in the heart of Emmaus, PA. We take our coffee seriously – very seriously. We feature two sustainable single-origin coffees, one house blend and one decaf house blend on a daily basis. We rotate our single-origin coffees regularly to let our customers experience excellent coffees from around the globe. We also have a full espresso drink menu, ranging from artfully extracted double espressos to lattes, cappuccinos and frozen drinks (take a
look at the menu page!). Our coffees are locally roasted by Torreo Coffee and Tea Company based out of Philadelphia, PA – we think they’re great. We’ve been told we have the best lattes and cappuccinos in the Lehigh Valley. We pride ourselves on our coffee knowledge and espresso and milk preparation. We also serve bagels, breakfast sandwiches, fresh soups, panini sandwiches and a variety of 100% organic
baked goods from
14 Acre Farms.
Hmm, how do we describe the café? We think our café provides a warm, inviting and relaxing atmosphere. We pride ourselves on customer service as much as drink quality, so you won’t get any attitude here. There are newspapers and a ton of magazines for your reading pleasure, and a bunch of games on our bookshelves for you to enjoy. We love art & music, and host an open mic from 7–10 pm every Thursday night. We hope to see you in here soon!

Mas Café began as the far-away dream of two college sweethearts, Ray Hencken and Courtney Bock. While attending Rutgers in the late 90’s, Ray and Courtney were coffee house “packrats,” frequently ending up there to study, relax, listen to music and, of course, drink coffee. Their love of the warm and inviting coffee shop atmosphere developed into “if we had a coffee shop, we’d do this and that.” Over the many years that spanned from their dream to reality, Ray and Courtney compiled a bunch of ideas that they would incorporate into “their” coffee shop. Insert college graduation and about 7 years of ill-fitting corporate America work-life here. Around late 2006, Ray and Courtney decided that they would take the plunge and finally try to make their dream a reality. Mas Café officially opened for business on June 17th, 2006 – woo hoo! And, Ray and Courtney wed on October 20th, 2007 – woo hoo again!
Mas Café means “more coffee” in Espanol. The earthy/organic theme of Mas Café was inspired by many surf trips taken to beautiful Costa Rica. Not only does Costa Rica have world-class surfing, they also have some amazing coffee. Ray and Courtney loved their trips to Costa Rica so much that they decided to pay homage to their favorite vacation locale with their coffee shop. You’ll spot Costa Rican coffee bags throughout the shop, as well as a strong earthy vibe. We hope you’ll feel as comfortable and relaxed at Mas Café as they felt on their many trips to their home away from home.
